When the thought of what happened to the Chibok Girls finds its way into my soul, I take a minute to acknowledge the deep searing pain I feel, and then I let it go. There is so much ugliness in the world that we cannot fall prey to the fear these monsters that believe they are doing something that no god worshiped anywhere would ever condone are trying to instill in our hearts. I refuse to be held hostage by the negativity in the world because some of us have to use our light to counterbalance the madness that comes to us in waves from the news, social media and your friendly neighbor.

I acknowledge that bad things happen, but I am so grateful for the new #HopeEndures campaign because we have to keep hope alive and spread positivity. We have to be the light that washes out the darkness that the horrors of groups like Boko Haram think they are inflicting on the world.

Omolola Adele-OsoI give thanks to organizations like Act4Accountability.com and Omolola Adele-Oso for their tireless efforts in keeping the Chibok Girls in the media.

My one great big hope is that all those girls know that their stories are not going unheard, and unacknowledged. I want them to know that the world grieves for what this ordeal has cost them and their families, and we will keep hope alive.

We all try to do a little something. I am giving thanks to #GraceWorkers like Omolola Adele-Oso, who created the non-profit organization Act4Accountability because she was so moved to do something to help the Chibok Girls. She has been my hero for the last two years, and I know she is only just starting on her journey to help make the world a better place. Therefore, I am using my little platform here to acknowledge this #DoGooder. Her tireless effort has touched one person (me) more than she will ever know.

Thank you to the team at Act4Accountibility.com
